Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Poems in Running-Cursive Script by Chen Chun. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 120,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 126,000.00 (€ 14,958.90) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Chun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers and Calligraphy in June this year with an auction result of HKD 28,810,000.00 (€ 3,366,443.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poems in Running-Cursive Script von Chen Chun zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 126.000,00 (€ 14.958,90) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Chun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers and Calligraphy im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 28.810.000,00 (€ 3.366.443,22).
