Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Singapore River by Chen Cheng Mei was sold in the 20th and 21st Century Art Morning Session auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. The price achieved of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 15,856.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Other works by Chen Cheng Mei have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2021 the work China Town Back Alley II was auctioned for HKD 225,000.00 (€ 25,485.95).
