In October 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Lake Louise, Canada by Chen Cheng Mei. The result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,524.00) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Other works by Chen Cheng Mei have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2021 the work China Town Back Alley II was auctioned for HKD 225,000.00 (€ 25,485.95).

Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lake Louise, Canada von Chen Cheng Mei zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.524,00) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Chen Cheng Mei konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2021 die Arbeit China Town Back Alley II für HKD 225.000,00 (€ 25.485,95) versteigert.
