A top price for Chen Cheng Mei
In December 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Art Day Sale, which included the work China Town Back Alley II by Chen Cheng Mei. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 225,000.00 (€ 25,485.95), 25% above the upper estimate. With this result, China Town Back Alley II is even the most expensive work of art by Chen Cheng Mei that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit China Town Back Alley II von Chen Cheng Mei zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 25.485,95) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist China Town Back Alley II sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Chen Cheng Mei, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
