In March last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Chrysanthemums by Chen Banding. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 50,400.00 (€ 5,801.93), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Banding achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sceneries Of Mount Huang in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 2,300,000.00 (€ 270,662.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chrysanthemums von Chen Banding zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 50.400,00 (€ 5.801,93) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Banding erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sceneries Of Mount Huang im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.300.000,00 (€ 270.662,29).
