In October 2006 Christies in Paris held the auction Intérieurs, which included the work Suite de Six Chaises, Le Modele Cree En 1939 by Charlotte Perriand. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,400.00 60% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charlotte Perriand achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Important “Bibliotheque Murale,” in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 314,500.00 (€ 254,264.69).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen

Im Oktober 2006 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Intérieurs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Suite de Six Chaises, Le Modele Cree En 1939 von Charlotte Perriand zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.400,00 und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charlotte Perriand erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Important “Bibliotheque Murale,” im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 314.500,00 (€ 254.264,69).
