In September 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Torn by Charlie Billingham. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,342.97), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charlie Billingham - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bonnet 4 (Elizabeth), which sold at auction in February 2020 for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,038.78).

Im September 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Torn von Charlie Billingham zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.342,97) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Charlie Billingham mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bonnet 4 (Elizabeth) beobachtet, die im Februar 2020 für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.038,78) versteigert wurde.
