In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Retired Boats; Boat Run Aground; No Sailing Today; And Fishing Boats At Dusk sold for GBP 937.50 (€ 1,256.76) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 500.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Williams have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View of Openshaw And Clayton From The Studio in January 2008 with an auction result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,702.72).
