Auction result well in line with expectations
The work End of the day by Charles Williams was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in June 2010. The price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 760.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Williams have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View of Openshaw And Clayton From The Studio in January 2008 with an auction result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,702.72).
