This artwork by Charles Williams achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in January 2008. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Peonies; And Maderia Momories sold for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,675.68) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Williams - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of Openshaw And Clayton From The Studio, which sold at auction in January 2008 for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,702.72).
