In September last year Bonhams in London held the auction Travel & Exploration, which included the work Manila Cathedral after the 1863 earthquake, Philippines by Charles William Andrews. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,845.00 (€ 5,514.08), 62% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles William Andrews achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Parade Ground, by Murray Barracks, Hong Kong, with horses paraded along Queen's Road, the cricket ground and a view across the harbour to Kowloon beyond in September 2007 with an auction result of GBP 38,900.00 (€ 55,779.74).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Parade Ground, by Murray Barracks, Hong Kong, with horses paraded along Queen's Road, the cricket ground and a view across the harbour to Kowloon beyond im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.900,00 (€ 55.779,74).
