Sold at the lower estimate price

The work Laguna de Bay, Philippines by Charles William Andrews was sold in the EXPLORATION AND TRAVEL: ASIA auction at Christies in London in July 2005. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 4,351.47) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles William Andrews achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Parade Ground, by Murray Barracks, Hong Kong, with horses paraded along Queen's Road, the cricket ground and a view across the harbour to Kowloon beyond in September 2007 with an auction result of GBP 38,900.00 (€ 55,779.74).

Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Parade Ground, by Murray Barracks, Hong Kong, with horses paraded along Queen's Road, the cricket ground and a view across the harbour to Kowloon beyond im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.900,00 (€ 55.779,74).
