The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,641.45), 28% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Charles West Cope have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Awakening Of King Lear By The Kiss Of Cordelia in May 2013 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 37,997.57).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.641,45) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles West Cope auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Awakening Of King Lear By The Kiss Of Cordelia im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 37.997,57).
