A top price for Charles Thomas Burt - as previously expected
In March last year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work On the moors by Charles Thomas Burt. The price achieved of GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,534.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, On the moors is the most expensive artwork by Charles Thomas Burt that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the moors von Charles Thomas Burt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.534,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist On the moors das teuerste Kunstwerk von Charles Thomas Burt, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
