Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work Returning Home From A Days Fishing by Charles Thomas Burt. It changed hands for a price of GBP 776.75 (€ 1,149.60) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Thomas Burt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On the moors, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,534.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Returning Home From A Days Fishing von Charles Thomas Burt zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 776,75 (€ 1.149,60) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Thomas Burt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit On the moors beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.534,97) versteigert wurde.
