Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The river crossing by Charles Thomas Burt was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2005. The price achieved of GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,113.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Thomas Burt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On the moors, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,534.97).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.113,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Thomas Burt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit On the moors beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.534,97) versteigert wurde.
