Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2010 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Portrait of a Young Girl by Charles Sprague Pearce. The price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,785.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Sprague Pearce achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reading By The Shore in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 298,000.00 (€ 282,143.53).

Im September 2010 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a Young Girl von Charles Sprague Pearce zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.785,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden.
