Upper estimate price exceeded by 67 %.
In December 2019 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Art Contemporain Day Sale, which included the work Miami Bowindow 1.30 P.M by Charles Matton. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 25,000.00 67% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Charles Matton; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Hommage À Georges Pérec Ii sold at auction in March 2019 with the realized price of EUR 40,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Art Contemporain Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Miami Bowindow 1.30 P.M von Charles Matton zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 25.000,00 und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Charles Matton; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Hommage À Georges Pérec Ii im März 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 40.000,00.
