Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work La salle de bain numéro II, 2000 by Charles Matton was sold in the Un Certain Regard sur la Photographie auction at Christies in Paris in May 2007. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 1,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 1,020.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Matton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hommage À Georges Pérec Ii in March 2019 with an auction result of EUR 40,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit La salle de bain numéro II, 2000 von Charles Matton wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion Un Certain Regard sur la Photographie bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 1.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 1.020,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Matton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hommage À Georges Pérec Ii im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 40.000,00.
