Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Rue des Amandiers by Charles Marville. The price achieved of USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,388.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Marville have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Paris: La Bièvre Entre Les Rues Pascal Et Cochin' in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 103,000.00 (€ 66,161.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rue des Amandiers von Charles Marville zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 11.388,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Marville auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Paris: La Bièvre Entre Les Rues Pascal Et Cochin' im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 103.000,00 (€ 66.161,36).
