This artwork by Charles Malfroy achieved an unexpectedly high price at VAN HAM in January 2013. In the Dekorative Kunst auction, the work Le porte Ferrieres, Provance sold for EUR 1,677.00 - well above the estimate of EUR 800.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Malfroy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shipping in the harbour at Nantes in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 5,975.00 (€ 8,964.70).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Malfroy erzielte im Januar 2013 bei VAN HAM einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Dekorative Kunst wurde die Arbeit Le porte Ferrieres, Provance für EUR 1.677,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem Schätzpreis von EUR 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Malfroy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shipping in the harbour at Nantes im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.975,00 (€ 8.964,70).
