In November 2006 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction British and Continental Pictures including Marine pictures, which included the work Harbour Scene by Charles Malfroy. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,702.52), 28% above the upper estimate. Other works by Charles Malfroy have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 5,975.00 (€ 8,964.70) in May 2004 for the work Shipping in the harbour at Nantes.
