Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2005 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Ottomans & Orientalists, which included the work A Fair Reflection by Charles-Louis Müller. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,800.00 (€ 16,006.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Charles-Louis Müller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sultana Reading the Holy Qur'an in March last year with an auction result of GBP 69,300.00 (€ 82,162.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Ottomans & Orientalists durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Fair Reflection von Charles-Louis Müller zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.800,00 (€ 16.006,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles-Louis Müller auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sultana Reading the Holy Qur'an im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 69.300,00 (€ 82.162,95).
