Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jeune Fille Lisant by Charles-Louis Müller was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in June 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 11,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Charles-Louis Müller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sultana Reading the Holy Qur'an in March last year with an auction result of GBP 69,300.00 (€ 82,162.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Jeune Fille Lisant von Charles-Louis Müller kam im Juni 2008 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 11.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles-Louis Müller auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sultana Reading the Holy Qur'an im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 69.300,00 (€ 82.162,95).
