Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work View Of The Temple Of Vesta At Tivoli, With Peasants And Herdsmen Resting In The Foreground by Charles-Louis Clérisseau for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,092.59). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Drawings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles-Louis Clérisseau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Interiors of a Roman basilica with figures in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 51,650.00 (€ 59,913.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit View Of The Temple Of Vesta At Tivoli, With Peasants And Herdsmen Resting In The Foreground von Charles-Louis Clérisseau für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.092,59) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Drawings bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles-Louis Clérisseau erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Interiors of a Roman basilica with figures im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 51.650,00 (€ 59.913,84).
