Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Breton Woman, Knitting | Une femme bretonne, tricotant by Charles Lamb was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 6,048.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Lamb have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Fisherman with Pollan in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,545.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A Breton Woman, Knitting | Une femme bretonne, tricotant von Charles Lamb kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 6.048,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Lamb auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Fisherman with Pollan im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.545,89).
