Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mendel Tulips by Charles Jones was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 2,520.00 (€ 2,958.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Jones have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Morning Visit in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 16,730.00 (€ 24,041.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mendel Tulips von Charles Jones wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.520,00 (€ 2.958,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Jones auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Morning Visit im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.730,00 (€ 24.041,92).
