Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Leek Prizetaker by Charles Jones was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October 2018. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,412.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Jones have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Morning Visit in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 16,730.00 (€ 24,041.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Leek Prizetaker von Charles Jones kam im Oktober 2018 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.412,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Jones auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Morning Visit im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.730,00 (€ 24.041,92).
