Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Winter in the highlands by Charles Jones, R.C.A. was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2016. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,426.35). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Jones, R.C.A. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sheep resting on a tree-lined path, which sold at auction in March 2012 for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,985.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Winter in the highlands von Charles Jones, R.C.A. kam im Juli 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.426,35) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Jones, R.C.A. mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sheep resting on a tree-lined path beobachtet, die im März 2012 für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.985,19) versteigert wurde.
