Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Deer In The Highlands by Charles Jones, R.C.A. was sold in the Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs auction at Christies in London in June 2006. The price achieved of GBP 480.00 (€ 694.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Jones, R.C.A. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sheep resting on a tree-lined path in March 2012 with an auction result of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,985.19).
