Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Footsteps approaching by Charles Jones, R.C.A. was sold in the Victorian & British Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in November 2012. The price achieved of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,695.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Jones, R.C.A. have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sheep resting on a tree-lined path in March 2012 with an auction result of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,985.19).

Die Arbeit Footsteps approaching von Charles Jones, R.C.A. wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.695,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Jones, R.C.A. auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sheep resting on a tree-lined path im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.985,19).
