The price achieved of GBP 48,500.00 (€ 67,912.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Woodland Ramble "When daisies pied and violets blue And Lady-smocks all silver white, and cuckoo buds of yellow hue" - William Shakespeare, Love's Labour's Lost, Act V, Scene 2 is the most expensive artwork by Charles James Lewis that we have observed at auctions so far.
