This price was achieved in the auction Studio Art at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 300.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Herbert Woodbury achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Splashing in the Surf in June 2002 with an auction result of USD 47,800.00 (€ 48,498.38).
