Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles Haslewood Shannon could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work A Hermit is visited by an Angel changed hands for GBP 437.50 (€ 522.81) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Haslewood Shannon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rose and Blanche (Les Marmitons) in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 53,775.00 (€ 78,509.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Haslewood Shannon konnte im November 2010 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit A Hermit is visited by an Angel für GBP 437,50 (€ 522,81) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Haslewood Shannon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rose and Blanche (Les Marmitons) im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 53.775,00 (€ 78.509,80).
