Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles Henry Humphriss could be acquired at Christies in New York in June 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings auction, the work Indian Hunter with Duck changed hands for USD 6,462.50 (€ 6,770.56) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Henry Humphriss have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Appeal to the Great Spirit' in December 2010 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 32,971.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Henry Humphriss konnte im Juni 2000 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Indian Hunter with Duck für USD 6.462,50 (€ 6.770,56) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00.
