In February this year Bonhams held the auction Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer, which included the work Mountain Mist and Oak Creek (a group of two) by Charles H. Pabst. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,405.21), 70% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles H. Pabst - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gathering Storm, which sold at auction in April this year for USD 6,120.00 (€ 5,543.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mountain Mist and Oak Creek (a group of two) von Charles H. Pabst zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.405,21) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles H. Pabst mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gathering Storm beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für USD 6.120,00 (€ 5.543,48) versteigert wurde.
