Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Backs Of Gardens, Oxted, Surrey by Charles Ginner was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,094.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Ginner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Corner in Chelsea in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 79,250.00 (€ 97,737.26).
