Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Post War British Art Day Sale, which included the work The Dorset Cliffs by Charles Ginner. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,277.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Charles Ginner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Corner in Chelsea in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 79,250.00 (€ 97,737.26).
