Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Christies in New York held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Three drawings of garden birds: Greenfinches, Goldfinches and Bluetits by Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe. The price achieved of GBP 2,520.00 (€ 2,940.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Magnani Modena Pigeon (illustrated); Two Starling Pigeons (one illustrated); A Swabian or Starling Pigeon; and A Swabian Pigeon in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 13,145.00 (€ 19,563.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Three drawings of garden birds: Greenfinches, Goldfinches and Bluetits von Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.520,00 (€ 2.940,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Magnani Modena Pigeon (illustrated); Two Starling Pigeons (one illustrated); A Swabian or Starling Pigeon; and A Swabian Pigeon im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.145,00 (€ 19.563,70).
