In the Two Great Scottish Collections: Property from the Forbeses of Pitsligo and the Marquesses of Lothian auction, the work Portrait Of Robert Darcy, 3Rd Earl Of Holderness (1681-1721), Three-Quarter Length, In Peer'S Robes sold for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,916.33) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles d'Agar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Double portrait of Lady Henrietta and Lady Mary Godolphin, daughters of Francis, 2nd Earl of Godolphin, full-length, the former standing in classical dress with a pink cloak, holding a parrot and a bunch of grapes, the latter seated in a white dress in September 2011 with an auction result of GBP 61,250.00 (€ 71,155
