Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,577.71) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Charles d'Agar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Double portrait of Lady Henrietta and Lady Mary Godolphin, daughters of Francis, 2nd Earl of Godolphin, full-length, the former standing in classical dress with a pink cloak, holding a parrot and a bunch of grapes, the latter seated in a white dress in September 2011 with an auction result of
