Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles Caryl Coleman could be acquired at Christies in New York in December 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Still Life With Pineapple And Grapes changed hands for USD 38,240.00 (€ 30,356.43) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Caryl Coleman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Azaleas And Apple Blossoms in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 2,281,000.00 (€ 1,465,938.30).
