Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pietà by Chaouki Choukini was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish ArtPart II auction at Christies in Dubai in October 2011. The price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,618.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chaouki Choukini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work To Beirut - A Beyrouth - Li Bayrût in October 2021 with an auction result of EUR 60,312.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pietà von Chaouki Choukini wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish ArtPart II bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.618,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chaouki Choukini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit To Beirut - A Beyrouth - Li Bayrût im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.312,50.
