Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Desert Gate by Chaouki Choukini was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction at Bonhams in London in November 2020. The price achieved of GBP 22,750.00 (€ 25,396.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chaouki Choukini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work To Beirut - A Beyrouth - Li Bayrût, which sold at auction in October 2021 for EUR 60,312.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Desert Gate von Chaouki Choukini wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 22.750,00 (€ 25.396,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Chaouki Choukini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit To Beirut - A Beyrouth - Li Bayrût beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für EUR 60.312,50 versteigert wurde.
