In June 2020 Sothebys in Dubai held the auction This Too Shall Pass, which included the work Personnage by Chaouki Choukini. The auction ended at the price of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,355.89), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chaouki Choukini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work To Beirut - A Beyrouth - Li Bayrût in October 2021 with an auction result of EUR 60,312.50.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in Dubai die Auktion This Too Shall Pass durch, in der auch die Arbeit Personnage von Chaouki Choukini zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.355,89) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chaouki Choukini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit To Beirut - A Beyrouth - Li Bayrût im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.312,50.
