Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spiritual Awakening(Painted In 1989) by Chao Chung-Hsiang was sold in the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2018. The price achieved of HKD 118,000.00 (€ 13,286.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chao Chung-Hsiang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Five Phases in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 5,840,000.00 (€ 657,963.46).
