The work Kobra Qasr al-Nil by Chant Avedissian was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II auction at Christies in Dubai in April 2012. The »bidding war« ended at USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,669.36), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chant Avedissian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Icons Of The Nile in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,565,000.00 (€ 1,188,487.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Kobra Qasr al-Nil von Chant Avedissian wurde im April 2012 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.669,36) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chant Avedissian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Icons Of The Nile im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.565.000,00 (€ 1.188.487,24).
