Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Icons of the Nile by Chant Avedissian was sold in the International Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Dubai in October 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 86,500.00 (€ 68,206.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chant Avedissian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Icons Of The Nile in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,565,000.00 (€ 1,188,487.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Icons of the Nile von Chant Avedissian wurde im Oktober 2008 in der Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 86.500,00 (€ 68.206,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chant Avedissian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Icons Of The Nile im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.565.000,00 (€ 1.188.487,24).
