Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Al Tarab by Chant Avedissian was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II auction at Christies in Dubai in April 2012. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,559.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chant Avedissian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Icons Of The Nile in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,565,000.00 (€ 1,188,487.24).
