Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Venice; & Danshui Scenery by Chang Wan-Chuan was sold in the Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2011. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 8,945.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chang Wan-Chuan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Feast, which sold at auction in July 2003 for HKD 215,100.00 (€ 22,401.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Venice; & Danshui Scenery von Chang Wan-Chuan wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 8.945,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Chang Wan-Chuan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Feast beobachtet, die im Juli 2003 für HKD 215.100,00 (€ 22.401,15) versteigert wurde.
